DESCRIPTION:
Mavituna Security has reported multiple vulnerabilities in
dotProject, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL
injection attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks.
1) Input passed via arrays is not properly sanitised in the
"dPgetCleanParam()" function (includes/main_functions.php) before
being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.
2) Input passed via the "company_id" parameter is not properly
sanitised in the "format_field()" function
(modules/ticketsmith/common.inc.php) before being used in a SQL
query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.1.5. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.1.6.
