DESCRIPTION:
Vulnerability Lab has reported two vulnerabilities in Interspire
Shopping Cart, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct
script insertion attacks.

1) Input passed via the "prodName" parameter to admin/index.php (when
"ToDo" is set to "addProduct2") is not properly sanitised before being
used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code,
which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an
affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires the "Create
Products" permission.

2) Input passed via the "couponname" parameter to admin/index.php
(when "ToDo" is set to "createCoupon2") is not properly sanitised
before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and
script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires the "Add
Coupons" permission.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 5.5.1. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences using a proxy.
