DESCRIPTION:
Sammy Forgit has discovered a vulnerability in the Image Gallery
plugin for e107, which can be exploited by malicious people to
disclose sensitive information.
Input passed to the "name" parameter in
e107_plugins/image_gallery/viewImage.php is not properly verified
before being used to download files. This can be exploited to
disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal
attacks.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.9.7.1. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
