DESCRIPTION:
Two weaknesses have been reported in activeCollab, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.
The weaknesses are caused due to the application displaying
descriptive error messages from LDAP responses during the
authentication process in public/index.php and
webapps/ac/public/upgrade/execute.php. This can be exploited to
enumerate valid usernames and disclose some organisation
information.
Successful exploitation requires that the LDAP module is enabled
(disabled by default).
The weaknesses are reported in versions 2.3.10 and prior.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only or disable the LDAP module.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Andrew Horton, Steven Seeley, and Pedram Hayati, Stratsec.
