DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in RivetTracker, which can
be exploited by malicious users and malicious people to conduct SQL
injection attacks.
1) Input passed via the "hash" parameter to dltorrent.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that
"hiddentracker" is enabled and "Upload" permissions.
2) Input passed via the "hash" POST parameter to
torrent_functions.php is not properly sanitised before being used in
a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities requires that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.03. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
