DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been discovered in NetSurf, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive
information.

The security issue is caused due to the application creating the
cookie file (~/.netsurf/Cookies) with insecure world-readable
permissions. This can be exploited to disclose another user's session
information.

The security issue is confirmed in version 2.8. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Fixed in the SVN repository.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Reported by Jakub Wilk in a Debian bug report.
