DESCRIPTION:
AbdulAziz Hariri has discovered a vulnerability in Avaya Interaction
Center, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the
vesporb.dll module within the Avaya IC ORB service when processing
certain packets. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow via a specially crafted packet sent to TCP port 9001.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 7.2.3. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 7.2.4.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
AbdulAziz Hariri via Secunia.
