DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in the Vote Up/Down module for
Drupal, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script
insertion attacks.
Input passed via taxonomy terms is not properly sanitised in the
vud_term sub-module before being used. This can be exploited to
insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a
user's browser session in context of an affected site when the
malicious data is being viewed.
Successful exploitation requires permissions to create or edit
taxonomy terms.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 6.x-2.8 and
versions prior to 6.x-3.1.
SOLUTION:
Update to a fixed version.
