DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM DB2 and IBM DB2 Connect,
which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated
privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to the SUID
"tmaitm6/lx8266/bin/kbbacf1" executable within the bundled Tivoli
Monitoring Agent (ITMA) insecurely using the DT_RPATH entry to load
the libkbb.so library and can be exploited to load an arbitrary
library.

Note: This vulnerability doesn't affect Windows versions.

The vulnerability is reported in version 9.5 and 9.7 of the following
products:
* IBM DB2 Express Edition
* IBM DB2 Workgroup Server Edition
* IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition
* IBM DB2 Advanced Enterprise Server Edition
* IBM DB2 Connect Application Server Edition
* IBM DB2 Connect Enterprise Edition
* IBM DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System i
* IBM DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System z
