DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in WhatsApp Messenger, which can
be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive
information.
The security issue is caused due to the application transmitting XMPP
traffic in plaintext. This can be exploited to intercept received or
sent messages by e.g sniffing network traffic or via a
Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack.
SOLUTION:
Currently there is no known workaround.
