DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Adobe ColdFusion, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.
1) Input passed via the cfform tag is not properly sanitised before
being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.
2) Input passed to the RDS (Remote Development Services) component is
not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 9.0.1, 9.0, 8.0.1, and
8.0 for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX.
SOLUTION:
Apply hotfix (please see the vendor's advisory for more
information).
