DESCRIPTION:
Red Hat has issued an update for libarchive. This fixes two
vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious people to
potentially compromise an application using the library.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to unspecified errors within
archive_read_support_format_iso9660.c and
archive_read_support_format_tar.c and can be exploited to cause
heap-based buffer overflows by tricking a user into opening a
specially crafted ISO 9660 CD-ROM image.
SOLUTION:
Updated packages are available via Red Hat Network.
