DESCRIPTION:
Ubuntu has issued an update for apt. This fixes a security issue,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing
attacks.

The security issue is caused due to the application incorrectly
handling the "Verify-Host" configuration option, which results in a
SSL certificate's hostname being improperly validated and can be
exploited to e.g. disclose repository credentials via
Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks.

SOLUTION:
Apply updated packages.
