DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Nortel Media Application Server,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
cstore.exe component when processing a CONTENT_STORE_ADMIN_REQ
packet. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow
via an overly long string passed via the "cs_anams" parameter to TCP
port 52005.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 1.0 and 2.0.
SOLUTION:
Apply patches.
