DESCRIPTION:
Two weaknesses have been discovered in NetSaro Enterprise Messenger,
which can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose
sensitive information.
1) The application stores the administrator's credentials in
Base64-encoded format in the configuration.xml file.
2) The application stores user credentials in clear text in the
Db/NetSaro.fdb file.
The weaknesses are confirmed in version 2.1. Other versions may also
be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the system to trusted users only.
