DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the kernel when
parsing metadata information in files and can be exploited to cause a
system to crash.
Successful exploitation requires that a user is tricked into browsing
to a folder containing a specially crafted file (e.g. by navigating to
a network share or website referencing a network share).
SOLUTION:
Apply patches.
