DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in IBM InfoSphere Information
Server, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain
escalated privileges.
The security issue is caused due to insecure file permissions and
ownership settings on certain files ("ds.rc" and "dsenv") within the
DSEngine directory and can be exploited to gain root privileges.
Successful exploitation requires "dsadm" user privileges.
The security issue is reported in version 8.5 and 8.5.0.1.
