DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in 3Com Intelligent Management
Center, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow error within
img.exe when processing certain packet types and can be exploited to
cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet
sent to TCP port 8800.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version 3.3 SP2 R2606P13. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only.
