DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Sun Java System Access
Manager Policy Agent, which can be exploited by malicious people to
cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a
vulnerable system.

1) An error exists in NSS within the regular expression parser and
can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow.

For more information see vulnerability #1 in:
SA36093

2) An unspecified error in the Web Proxy Agent component can be
exploited to cause a DoS.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.2.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches (please see the vendor's advisory for details).

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
It is currently unclear who reported vulnerability #2 as the Oracle
Critical Patch Update for April 2011 only provides a bundled list of
credits. This section will be updated when/if the original reporter
provides more information.
