4. Affected Components Description
==================================

SAP HANA is a platform for real-time business. It combines database,
data processing, and application platform capabilities in-memory. The
platform provides libraries for predictive, planning, text processing,
spatial, and business analytics.


5. Vulnerability Details
========================

A remote authenticated attacker can use the SAP Hana Web-based
Development Workbench, specifically the trace configuration page, to
execute SQL commands. The trace application builds SQL statements using
user controlled input without prior sanitization.

Implement SAP Security Note 2153898.


7. Report Timeline
==================

01/26/2015: Onapsis provides vulnerability information to SAP AG.
01/27/2015: SAP AG confirms reception of vulnerability report.
02/10/2015: SAP reports vulnerability is “In Process”
05/12/2015: SAP releases Security Note 2153898 fixing the issue but not
informing Onapsis the fix was included in that Note.
05/12/2015: Onapsis asks SAP on the status of internal case
corresponding to reported vulnerability ONAPSIS-00154.
05/12/2015: SAP informs reported vulnerability ONAPSIS-00154 was
considered duplicate of ONAPSIS-00162, thus included in the same
Security Note fixing that vulnerability.
09/29/2015: Onapsis publishes security advisory.
